Window Configuration Software
MetroSet® 2 now has additional features that are more
versatile and user friendly. New features include an option
to print bar codes, a larger range of scanner support, an
enhanced terminal window, file authentication, and an enhanced
Help menu. Additionally, data parsing (Bits 'n' Pieces) and
Flash upgrade (Meteor) are also included in this software.

Meteor™ 2 Flash Upgrade Utility
Meteor™ 2 allows Metrologic scanner users to quickly
update to a new or custom version of software. It requires
the use of a personal computer running Windows 95 or greater.
The user simply connects the scanner to the COM port of the
PC, launches the Meteor program, and blasts off to new software
upgrades.

upgrade for MS9520/9540 RSS
This upgrade for the 9500 series scanners enables decoding of RSS barcodes. Plug
your scanner in via an RS-232 port, and use the Meteor upgrade utility to send
this upgrade to your unit's ROM. After you have completed this upgrade, use the
barcodes in the included PDF file, RSSBarcodes.pdf, to enable the features you
wish to use.

This upgrade for the 7220/7320/7600 series scanners enables decoding of RSS barcodes.

Compatch
Compatch is a small but effective program created to reinitialize a newer desktop's
or laptop's serial communications port, which can sometimes be reconfigured
by other applications. If you're experiencing problems with your system locking
up when running one of our configurations programs, try running compatch before
running the configuration program. It may just do the trick. At the DOS prompt,
type Compatch, followed by the number of the com port (1 through 4).

RecV5 is a simple communications program which allows you to view serial data
through your com1 or com2 port. Type recv5, setup the program for the desired
com port selection and communication format and you're ready to go. You can
use the same cables presently being used to interface to your host PC.
